Many of us can point to our parents as our biggest inspiration. That’s certainly true for me, as I can think of no greater role model than my mom, Mary. As a single mother to four kids, she set an incredible example that would prove so important throughout my life, from growing up in Ventura County to raising my own family today in El Dorado Hills.

My mom was always watching over us, and she worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Above all, she was very adamant about showing us how to stand on our own two feet, not only teaching us responsibility, but also instilling us with confidence.

It was that confidence that allowed me to succeed in whatever I did, because I was never worried about taking chances or leaving my comfort zone. Today, my brothers and I each own our own businesses, but I was the only one to fly the coop and move to Northern California.

That move took place in 1990, when my sales job brought me up to open and manage an office in Larkspur. I later transitioned to a position selling copiers at Minolta, and while it was just one of many stops on my professional journey, it became an important landmark in my life, because that’s where I met my husband. Victor and I were married in 1992, and in the years following, we welcomed our two children, Megan and Jacob.

When it came to raising my kids, I took so many cues from my own mom. I aimed to give them a good education, not just in school but also in life. I wanted to help them understand that I would always be here for them, while at the same time stressing the value of self-confidence. Like any mother, I tried to keep them active and out of trouble. Lucky for me, they’re both great kids with kind hearts and good heads on their shoulders.

In truth, my kids transformed my life, and I left my previous job in order to operate a daycare for my son and daughter and a handful of other children. It wasn’t until they were in school full-time that I decided to go back to work.

Years back, I had spent some time as a title representative for Realtors, and people had told me I would be perfect for real estate. When my family moved to El Dorado Hills in 2002, I had the opportunity to start fresh with my career, so I set out to earn my real estate license.

Real estate had been such a satisfying and fulfilling career. The flexibility allowed me to be there for my own family, while helping others improve their lives every single day. I value patience and sincerity above all else, and I pride myself on being there for my clients every step of the way.
